Betty boom....

This image is from Simply Betty Stamps, it was a challenge image on the Simply Betty Fan Page on Facebook. There was a choice of three images and I choose this one. I just love everything about the image and the sentiment! I had a great time colouring this up and managed to do it in one sitting, normally I only do so much then leave the rest for the next day or another, but I was having a great time colouring her in I ended up doing it all. She is coloured using Promarkers, I am starting to feel a little more confident in using them and trying my best to leave some gaps for the 'shine'.
I didn't add the image to a card right away with it being Christmas so she was left for a few days (5) without being put on a card.....I know, I know how awful for her to just be 'sat' there unfinished. I had an idea what I wanted to do and I am pretty happy with the say she has turned out. I added glitter (which was one of the requirements for the challenge) to the TNT and the white roses. I will admit I did forget so had to do it at the last min, I had planned on adding glitter to her tights and dress but I am still happy with it like this.

I have not made any more cards as of yet as I am just waiting for my craft room window to be fixed (think we need the pointing on the front of the house sorting), darn weather has made water come through my window frame and with the weather we have been having of late lots of water has been coming in. We can not get it sorted until we have a few dry day (lol that will be fun here!). Then I can finally make a start on making over my room, I have ordered worktops (which have arrived) for my room and I need to find some stroage now for under them, wish me luck please. I can not wait to get it so I have more work space and I can get it how I want it. I will then save to have my floor done and the carpet in that room is well.............shocking! It has been there since we moved in. There is nothing wrong with it other than how it looks lol. I would like a wooden floor or laminate so it is easier to clean and I dont have to get the hoover out all the time. One thing at a time and there is no rush I will get there. Just want to get it to a level where I can get in there and craft without having to drag everything out to find one thing.............dont you just hate that?!

Time for me to go and get some pinning done, I lose hours on there but going to rest today with a pinning session. Must make tea for the OH and me as we did all the chores this morning so that's good. Hope you all have a wonderful morning, afternoon, evening or night where ever you may be in the world.

Birthday surprises!!!!!!!!!

This post is for a BIG surprise for two very special ladies who are on the Simply Betty Fan Group page on Facebook (make sure you come and say hey, they are all totally crackers but great fun hehe).

Well I was invited to a secret event by Tanja and was asked if I would like to take part in a surprise card making for two ladies on the group I mentioned above and I jumped at the chance. Not for the free images in which Betty drew and gave out to use for the cards but because these ladies are lovely and will do anything for anyone, they always get me smiling like lots of others on there, I take great inspiration from there work and just love seeing what they and others get up to. It was so nice to see how many people jumped at the chance to make cards for the ladies. All we had to do was post the cards off to Betty when we had completed them so she could post them off to the ladies. They would then get a huge box with cards for them to open on their birthday. Betty did all of this out of her own pocket and took the time to draw the images to. THANK YOU BETTY!!!

Well here are the cards, hope you ladies like them:

Corinne hates leaves so just had to pop some in the card lol, sorry please don't stick a pin in my doll ;) x

This stamp was put on the back of both cards, hehe I love this stamp. I bought it at a craft show one year and just had to use it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS CORINNE, HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!! I HOPE YOU RECEIVE ALL YOUR HEART DESIRES. X

Persephone......

Persephone

This is an image again from Simply Betty Stamps and this was a challenge image, all you did was pay a $1 for this image and make a card with it. Not this card was made last min as with health it got pushed back and back again so I can not remember if this meet all the challenge rules or if I even entered if correctly. (Thyroid brain sucks). With that said thought I really really enjoyed colouring this image in and trying new hair styles and colours on her clothes. This is coloured using my promarkers.

Hope you are all well and thank you for stopping by. x

Batman inspired card...

Wow where did the time go? Illness and hoildays don't half take up your time. I have had family members poorly who needed lots of care and attention, my health is totally failing me again (no surprise there right?). I am now waiting for treatment of radio iodine for my thyroids, so there is a chance of me going missing again. But I have been making a few things and here is one of the cards I made.

Here is:

Christian the dark hero - by Simply Betty Stamps

I made this card for my nieces dad for his birthday if you hadn't guessed by what looks huge of a happy birthday sentiment lol. It does not look that big honest haha. His birthday was a month ago now. The best thing was to when I gave him his card he had his batman belt on!!! It was so cool! I had to add gems for stars (think this could be a new obsession so need to get more lol). Hope you like this card and check out Simply Betty Stamps I just love her work, seem to be using a lot of her images right now, always my go to as there is something there for everyone and everything :)

Have a great day, evening, night where ever you are in the world. Thanks for stopping by. x

Dads birthday card....

This is the card I made with the image I got from mayzy art. I really love this image, how many people do you know who love Doctor Who?? I know a few. This image was great to colour in and I can not wait to colour it up again. I have used promarkers to colour it in and really enjoyed doing so. I added brads on the image just to break up the while background a little but wished I spaced them a little better (know for next time now). I rounded off the corners and just picked out some card from my stash as the matting and layering. I had yellow gems laying around and thought how cool would it look to add them on the black to it looks like the Doc is traveling through space? So I added them, so glad I did. Dad totally loves this card and I love that he does.

Must get off here (meaning the comp as it is 22:01 here, need to get somethings sorted before I try and get some sleep........lol fat chance). Goodnight, good morning, good evening to you all where ever you all are in the world. Until next time (which I am going to make sure it isn't to long away again!!!) xx

Sorry I have been MIA again......

Eeeeee Life gets in the way of fun and keeping up with things we enjoy but I am about here and there. I have been practicing with my promarkers on and off. Mainly when I am in bed not to good, which seems to be a lot again. Anyway thought I would share with you all the images I have been colouring in, in the last two months. Not many but some.

First up are the digi images from mayzy art. My Father loves sci fi, anything like star wars, star trek, doctor who etc and it was his birthday last month so off I went in the hunt for some images. I couldn't find any, I knew I had seen some about on the web when I have been looking for other things and I could have sworn that I had saved these images along with others, but could I find them??? sadly not. So I headed off to the facebook group called digi galore and asked the wonderful group of ladies there if anyone could help me out and within a few seconds (for real) they was coming back with these images and more.

I was only practicing with my pens and this is what I come up with and I know that Spook didnt wear a green top (least I am highly sure he didn't) but I was just seeing what went and didn't.

This is my fave, I love this image and I'm so pleased at how the tardis turned out to. This is the image I was going to use for my dads card, I had decided as soon as I had finished it.

These next images I found on Devian art, the artist is called Jadedragonne, her work is stunning. You really want to go and check her out on there. http://jadedragonne.deviantart.com/
Now there is a notice on her page if you scroll down on the right hand side stating that there is a sign to let you know if you can colour them up with her permission etc so please make sure you read that before you use her images. It isn't to long and it is so worth sticking to her 'rules, wishes, guidelines' (don't know what to call them really)  so not to get into trouble or stop these wonderful artist in allowing us to use these wonderful images.

Hope you like the images and do go and check out these wonderful artist (I have not been asked, directed or given anything to do this just wanted to show you all what I have been upto and if that helps them then I'm glad, remember these are FREEBIES)

Time to sign off now, take care and hope you are all well. x

I won a digital image called..........Wonder Lilly.

Well what can I say two blog posts in two days I really am doing well lol!

This digital image is a SBS (simply Betty stamp), I won this on a late night quiz, there was a few of us online the other night on Facebook and Rio, who is Betty's daughter held a little quiz. We had to complete the full chorus of the song lyrics she put up. I managed to get the lyrics from a Rocky Horror show song right, I didn't even know it was for a prize and when I was asked for my email I was shocked. So I sent my email to Rio and within a few seconds I had an email in my inbox from Betty, I opened this email and gave out a squeal as this little beauty of an image was inside!! I couldn't thank Betty and Rio enough as this came just at the right time for a special friend who is a wonder woman and who needs cheering up right now.

You can buy this image along with the other amazing images from this range that are inspired by superheros like super girl, iron man, captain america, bat girl, spider girl etc with many other amazing images, go and check out the SBS website.

The day after the email had dropped in my inbox I had to print this out to make something. I printed her out, coloured her twice just to test I wanted them colours. I coloured her with my promarkers, I really like the gold metallic promarker but my paper didn't :( It started to buckle (is that what you say when the fibers start to lift off the paper?). I knew I wanted red and blue card for the background but had an idea about the patterned paper, I defo wanted stars! Could I find the starts sheet I know I have?? NOOOOO! But I found this little beauty from a Amy Tangerine 12x12 paper pad. You may ask why could you not find the sheet you needed?? Well that's a funny story, I wanted to organise my room as you do and I started to sort it out little by little until one day I went in to do something and WHAM it hit me, it looked like a bomb had gone off in my room! I have slowly got my papers in some kind of order but they really need a better storage solution as they are all in boxes, which takes forever to go through to find what you want or need. It takes me forever to make a card with my health etc but to have to hunt as well its like a week long process if not longer sometimes. I am thinking of cutting a lot of them down and getting smaller boxes for them that I can keep on the shelf and have them separated by themes, patterns etc. Anyway sorry I rambled off then, back to the card. So I cut down the card and patterned paper, picked out a lovely heart doily and stuck them all down. Now was the tricky bit, what did I have that would go? What was to hand? Oh dear where is it all? I took a slow walk about the room and peered into some bags and boxes but nothing was catching my eye at all. I thought about ribbon, beaded trim, stick pins, lots of bling but nope I wasn't happy with any of them. Then there sat on my desk was the basket with these flowers in, so grabbing the basket and throwing the ones that wouldn't go to one side I found these. So that was that sorted but now I have no sentiment, I thought about not putting one on but needed to fill the space in the heart with something. Again could only use what was to hand and knew I had some already stamped out, I do not know where this one is from, I think it could be either a Andy Skinner or Tim Holtz stamp. I added some gems and I was happy as Larry.

I am so pleased with this card and I had a great time making it for my super friend (you know who you are!). I really hope she likes this card and she remembers she is a wonder-ful woman who can and will get through the difficult times right now. I love ya girl!! You are my sister from another mother and mister!!

Again with a long post, sorry I don't half ramble lol. Have a wonderful weekend everyone and thank you for stopping by. Remember any questions please just ask. Until next time.
